Happy New Year 2016

Happy New Year 2016
Todd Swank's Diary Entry for January 3, 2016

As we have done the past several years, we rang in the New Year with good friends at the Zitzewitz House.  A good time was had by all!!  Until the next morning.

On Saturday, we had the honor of attending the Boy Scout Eagle Ceremony of 5 very impressive young men.  It was a beautiful ceremony and made me proud to be in attendance.  It's quite an accomplishment to make it through all that is required to become an Eagle Scout.

We are still hopeful that Luke and Avery will also achieve that honor.  They are both Life Scouts and have to complete a couple more merit badges and complete their Eagle Projects to be considered.  I'm hoping their mother keeps hounding them to get things done.

It was fun seeing so many friends at the ceremony.

On Saturday night, we attended the Minnesota Timberwolves vs Milwaukee Bucks game.  Pretty much the same results as the last two games we attended.  Moments of pure excitement followed by many head scratching opportunities and a loss in the record books.

At least we got to eat some popcorn, though.  That always makes for a good time.

I've always loved going down to see the players and coaches leave the locker room at half time.  Wolves Coach, Sidney Lowe, seemed pretty excited to see me.  Which was nice.

Before going back to my seat, I always like to stop at the player's bench and see if they need anything.  Zach Lavine smiled and asked me if I could get him a band aid for his elbow.  I told him no and then went back to my seat.
