Happy 2nd of July Weekend!

Todd Swank's Diary Entry for July 2nd, 2023

On Monday night, Luke, Avery, Abby, and Sarah joined us for a boat ride.  It's always fun getting out on the lake with the kids.

Mr. Blue Heron greeted us as we made our way out of Mud Bay.

Thursday night brought us to Chanhassen Dinner Theater with our old buddies, Tina & Karl Zitzewitz.

We were there to see Jersey Boys.  I'd heard of the play before but didn't know anything about the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.  I enjoyed it way more than I expected and was surprised how many songs they sang that I remembered I really liked in my childhood.  I've since watch the movie directed by Clint Eastwood on Max which remained pretty faithful  to the play.  I highly recommend seeing the play or the movie if you get the chance.

On Friday night, we enjoyed dinner with Tom & Kellie Wolf at the Legend's.  We always have a nice time solving the world's problems with one another.

On Saturday morning, the Big O, Orlando Mazzolini, came over for one of our weekend adventures.  We always have fun together.

Saturday afternoon brought us to the St. Croix River to join our friends for an afternoon River Ride.

Tina was there to greet us for a few hours of glee and debauchery.

Captain Karl always seems to know the right destinations to bring us to maximize the opportunities for fun.

It couldn't have been a more perfect day for the event.

The temperatures in the air and the water were just right for a lazy float in the river.

The Zitzewitzes have all sorts of methods to keep us afloat.  Which is much better than the alternative.

This guy stopped by to watch us for awhile.  Glad I don't look like a small fish otherwise I'd have been a goner.

We had a bunch of fun celebrating the 1st of July!
