Fogo De Brown

Fogo De Brown
Todd Swank's Diary Entry for October 25, 2014

Grandma Linda went traveling this week.  She sent us pictures from her destinations including Washington DC.  We're so thankful she didn't try fence jumping, because that kind of activity is definitely in her wheelhouse.

She also went to New York and made new friends.  We're glad she came home because one of these times we're guessing she'll go on a trip like this and we'll end up never seeing her again.

On Saturday night, we went to our friend Troy Brown's house for an incredible meal of meat similar to what you'd eat at famed Brazilian steakhouse, Foge De Chao.  So we dubbed the evening Fogo De Brown and looked forward to the delicacies we'd be presented from the oven that Troy built by hand.

Beforehand we had a Napa Valley wine tasting event with the Browns and the Zitzewitzes.  The wine is supposed to prepare your palette or something for the meat, but it ended up just making me get a little woozy.

I'd had Troy's pizza before and was excited to see we were going to enjoy some of that for appetizers.  This is literally some of the best pizza I've ever eaten before!

But the night really was all about Troy's meat.  Which we made sure to bring up about 400 times.

The food was incredible,  The wine was superb.  But when I started seeing fire worms appearing before my eyes, I figured it was time to go home.
